With cheap bottle of red in hand (hey, its BYOB), we finally got to P’Tit Plateau. The place was more or less empty around 8:15 p.m., which was a little surprising because the hostess/server sounded shocked when I suggested 9 p.m. at first—insisting it was too late. I saw why shortly: people eat later in Montreal. Around 8:30p.m., group after... More

We finally decided to experience this quaint little french bistro after multiple recommendations from our friends... we were not disappointed. The ambiance was more casual than I had anticipated but it was fine. The food was exceptional, every bite was bliss! We had the duck and the venison, both exquisite. This place is not very budget-conscious... expect a main course... More

First, one can understand the popularity of P'tit Plateau, borne out by the fact it wasn't easy to get a table. We persisted and eventually got one for a party of 4 just before Christmas. Second, the atmosphere...busy, noisy, hot, tables tight together, in other words a typical popular neighbourhood bistro. Nice friendly service. Third, the food...terrific, delicious, imaginative menu,... More

The reservation process I have to say was not very pleasant, the first time I tried they refused to take a group of 12 (the restaurant is small, I can understand) and then the second time I found the women on the phone was very rushed and not very friendly. But the experience at the restaurant could not have been... More

On the recommendation of a friend, I made reservations for my bf and I and two of his friends for the 8:30 sitting on Dec 1/12. Overall the food was amazing - in fact I didn't want it to end. I had salmon with a leek puree. My bf had a starter - fish soup. As he is from France,... More

Visited this BYOW twice now. The owner/server is absolutely the best, pleasant and funny. Nice open atmosphere where you can see what is happening in the kitchen. Food was absolutely terrific. We were four and each tried something different. Each meal was above par. Reservations a must. Good eats, you must try it if in Le Plateau.

The hype for this place was considerable. When I called to book, about four days in advance, I left a message with my preferred day and time. They called back, told me that on that night, they would be having two sittings - 6:30 and 8:30 - so I chose 6:30. I was advised that we would have to be... More

I travel to France often and I felt like I was in France!! What a gem of a place. It was swarming with people and I can see why. The atmosphere is cozy because it is so tiny inside! There are plenty of large windows looking out to the street and the night we were there it was raining and... More

Great value, BYOW bistro set-up located in funky area! Open kitchen with serious chefs, spot on elegant, simple yet unpretentious service and deadly effective with meal timing (two sittings- recommend to take the 2nd seating so you can linger, share the creme brulee, listen to the chatter and sip your own hand-picked wine) ... oh yes- every plate absolutely delicious!!...... Its so much fun to find a little place like this. We picked this spot looking for a romantic place for dinner and we were very pleased. This is an apporte votre vin, so do bring some wine. The evening we went, every single place was taken, and we get the feeling this is the norm - so you should... More
