Location looks poor but right in the middle of the Quartier des spectacles! Watch out in 2 years! And investing in the plate is more important than on the decor! Sevice is excellennt. Food is absolutely divine. Destabilising in some ways...but what a great way to be destabilised with some very surprising combinations! Small portions, but you are not there... More

Bouillon Bilk enjoys quite a buzz lately, so much so that some might be surprised to discover this restaurant's dubious surroundings: in a drab building tucked between two electronics shop, a few hundred yards down from the more happening section of Boulevard Saint-Laurent. The decor is minimalist and rustic, a bit too bland and unremarkable to qualify as successful design.... More

Great selection of wines and beer from quebecois microbrewery (worth to try). Food accurate in raw material selection and dish presentation. Lobster salad fresh and pleasant without any extra aggressive sauce. Scallops properly matched with zucchini, apple and a delicate background. No room for dessert, maybe next time. Final mention to the service, professional with smile.

Bouillon Bilk is by far the best restaurant we've been to in Montreal. Although the menu is not extensive, what they offer is very fresh and absolute excellent. The fusion of local and foreign ingredients simply works well and all of our dishes were nicely crafted, we were a party of 4 and had ordered all different dishes. The wine... More

This is one of the best food experiences I have ever had in Montreal... or anywhere. Food quality... A+ Wine list... A+. Service... A+... There is only one negative. I am all in favour of a trendy / elegant / sparse décor... But please think about adding some sound absorbing materials to the space. Being able to converse easily with... More

Would give this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the simple decor and the slightly noisy atmosphere. But as far as the food goes, everything we tried was excellent, good service, reasonable prices (given the quality of the food) and a nice wine list. Recommend for groups of 4 or more, a little less if you're looking for a... More

Excellent food. Portions are small but exactly enough if you order an appetizer and a entrée and you may still have just enough room for dessert. Every dish is impeccably crafted and attention to detail is obvious. We were probably the only English speaking customers and they were so very accommodating. The waiter was able to explain the entire menu... More

The most difficult is certainly to find the entrance. No exterior sign and very common (not to say unappealing) building. Everything is almost perfect inside, except maybe the final bill. I had an excellent three course meal (appetizer, entree and dessert) with two glasses of wine, for 140 $cad (tax and tip included). Atmosphere is nice and friendly. Service is... More

Don't let location throw u off, in between 2 dilapitated electronics stores. This is a gem of a place, one of the best, memorable meals in a long time. Had a duck dumpling that I could have eaten all night. Broth sublime. Guinea fowl delicious, especially the skin. Wife's cavaletti with braised was a pasta dish on par with Scott... More

The location kind of put me off. The food however makes me want to go weekly. The specials are wonderful and the regular menu is fantastic. They have a sommelier and they did pairings for us at a reasonable price. The service is very good. We will be back! !! Have the guinea fowl. Might be my favourite thing to... More
