A small one of a kind restaurant in the heart if the plateau. Delicious Japanese-French fusion cuisine, a welcome change from ubiquitous French, Italian, or 'international' cuisine. Very good service. Short but good selection of wines. Will definitely come back. Montreal needs more restaurant like this one to reflect its the diversity and audacity!

After reading such ecstatic reviews here on TripAdvisor we were very excited to make a Saturday evening reservation and we were the last table to arrive for the evening at 8:30 PM. We knew the restaurant was out of the way but our party was very surprised to see how tiny the restaurant was. We were given a gracious welcome... More

We were VERY pleased with our meals, our table of 4 all ordered the 5-course tasting menu ($40-50), choosing a variety of dishes. We loved everything, and it was definitely enough food. We would highly recommend this restaurant... the chef is exceptional and the waitress was very attentive.

Outstanding cuisine at a reasonable price was well worth the Metro trip and short walk to this quaint older home, with a view of the beer store. Apparently they limit the number of guest at each seating, so the only chief can properly prepare your meal. My husband who experienced a celebration meal in Japan at a private home, thoroughly... Restaurant is very small (seats 18 max by my count) and cozy so reserve early! Despite the size, the menu was nicely varied. Hubby and i had the 5 course tasting menu and were not disappointed. My favourite was the sushi appetizers - just the right amount of spice. Waitress is very friendly and you can see/talk to the chef... More

I guess it started on a negative note. We were celabrating my 60th anniversary and I had called 3 times to ensure that we would have the window table knowing that the restaurant was very small and that there was only one such table...We arrived on time, nevertheless the table had been given to others, was it because the hostess... We made reservations at the last minute and were lucky enough to have found a spot (9:30 seating). Upon entering this cozy restaurant, we knew that we were in for a treat. The attentive and pleasant waitress walked us through the daily menu and offered advice and clarifications to all the meals, did not try to upsell any alcohol, and... More

I could not resist such star reviews. We were told to arrive exactly at the time of reservation, because all tables may be occupied and they can not hold reservation. Were infromed about problems with parking. The restaraunt was empty ( later on 3 couples arrived), street was extremely dilapidated and empty .Restaraunt as itself- presentation of the food was exquisite and extremely... I found the food to be really dry and not anything special. The Salmon had little pieces of medal in it as I think he was using old cookware. When I tried to return it, the chef gave me a huge attitude and said I was trying to steal from him. Honestly, I found the whole experience to be a... More
