Our first time at Cafe La Gaffe was for brunch on this past Father's Day. It was definitely a very unique experience. We both ordered lentil soup and blackened salmon. The soup was delicious! Just the right amount of everything. I could not believe the size of the salmon fillet! The mixed green salad that comes with it was very... More

found this treasure a few years ago. I've only been for lunches and am unable to comment on their dinner or services at that time. They have excellent meals, something for everyone. Attentive service; you need to get there early or have a reservation as it's very popular. They also have an extensive wine menu and a wonderful (small front)... More

Great place in Toronto! Average meals between 15 and 30$! Really good cuisine, fresh products and nice cosy place. The waiter was really nice and helpful for the choice of our meal :-) Good selection of wine and beers!

Two of us for dinner before hitting the movies. We were excited for dinner but very very very disappointed with both meals. I had the bouillabaisse. Broth seemed like it was pre maid and lacking flavor and finesse. I didn't eat any of the mussels or clams (they were very small too). The second dish was a type of steak... More

Tucked on the tiny strip of Baldwin Street that is often forgotten overlooked, Cafe La Gaffe is a true fem of a French bistro type restaurant. The atmosphere is casual and warm and the tiny kitchen is exposed at the back of the restaurant. There's also an outdoor patio during the warmer months to eat and relax on. It was... More

The first 3 choices of main were not available, would have been nice to now before I sat down. Steak was cooked as requested but very tough and stringy. Nothing to write home about, average quality food, nothing major to complain about though. Service was thoughtful and efficient.

Another gem along Baldwin that I used to frequent for lunch when I worked in the area. The lunch and dinner menus are more or less the same, with dinner prices being slightly higher. There are pizza, sandwiches, salads and some platters on offer that are all pretty decent. My favourite is the salad with lardons and warm brie on... More

One of our favourite places for dinner. We have been many times. Nice relaxing atmosphere, great service, consistently great food. My favourite meal is the beef tenderloin medallions & scalloped potatoes. Yum, yum! Good wine celler too!

My Toronto niece treated her mom and me to lunch here during Summerlicious. We ate in the patio area which was a delightful setting. Our server was very attentive and skilled. The selections offered were all attractive and we enjoyed sampling each other's choices. All were so well presented and delicious. I'd go back for sure next time in Toronto!

The food and the service were very good and the ambiance was right. The restaurant also offers a very good value for the money. I have no idea why almost every dish our family of four ordered came from the kitchen overpeppered. On top of that the waiter with his pepper mill ready never missed a chance to politely offer...
