We went to Sam's for lunch the first day of the conference we were attending - the corn chowder was delicious and the sandwiches were very good. We all had something different and tried a bit of each. Good value for what we had

I visited Sam's Deli on the recommendation of someone at my hotel, and it was just okay. The menu offerings were not as extensive as I thought it would be and my selection (Turkey Bacon Club) didn't bowl me over, nor did it look that appealing.
Service could have been a bit better. When I walked in, two people were...

This deli is located right in the hub of activity near the Harbour. It's nothing fancy. It has indoor and outdoor seating. It caters to a busy lunch crowd and food is not cheap. But, oh, the food is good. Order a whole or half sandwich, custom built to your specifications. Add a cup or bowl of absolutely delicious corn...

First off, the clam chowder it amazing! We will be back for of that.
I've been here a few times, both times, something slightly bugged me.
First time I came in for breakfast......no one was serving, so I went to the till and asked for a bowl of fruit and a latte to go. She seemed annoyed I didn't grab...

For the past several years, Sam's has been the place I'd stop over for a light lunch/snack, usually before taking the ferry back to the States. A couple of reviews indicated that it recently had slipped a bit in quality and service, so on this most recent trip with family and friends from Texas, I had avoided Sam's. On our...

My wife and I found this while walking around downtown Victoria. We both had a ham & cheese sandwich with a bowl of split pea soup. Soup was very good. Sandwich was loaded up with meat, cheese and veggies. The perfect lunch. Nice folks behind the counter.
Nothing beats walking into this little deli and eating a Montreal Hot Meat Sandwich after being out in the rain all day. Hungry and needing to eat fast before hopping the clipper back to Seattle I stumbled upon this place. Initially I was going to go to the Soda Shoppe but once inside the food looked too delicious to pass...

I grew up in Victoria and Sam's Deli was the greatest sandwich shop ever back in those days. I was disappointed when I went back this weekend for a soup and sandwich break. I ordered the special which was a ham sandwich and split pea soup. I asked if I could substitute roast beef for ham and the server rudely...

I I had a hard time understanding the server. The presentation in the store was not appealing, The Nanimo nanaimo bars looked, rightly or wrongly, as if bought from Costco....
This used to be my favorite sandwich place in Victoria. No more. I used to enjoy there smoked meat sandwiches... Times change.
At 5:20pm there were very few people... Bad...

When I write reviews just lately I seem to write about food places. Sam's is no different. In Victoria recently I had a chance to visit Sam's. It is a smallish place but has outside seating as well as inside. The food and the service were excellent and I would recommend tha anyone visiting Victoria to try Sam' Deli.
