Delicious, fresh, local cuisine! Yum! It is pricey but worth every bill! The wine selection is very impressive too! My husband has been working in the industry for the last 20 years and said the menu and wine list were the best he's ever seen! We highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back!

Excellent food!!! I think she forgot our desert at the end (ordered a Price Fix Dinner). But we we're too full for desert... could have taken it with us, but decided not too, nor did I bring it to her attention. Overall great meal!!!

Fresh seasonal shrimp...local asparagus and a recommendation for a wine I would never have tried on my own. Tough to get in...but once seated it was full of laughter and great energy, nothing overt though. Very intimate in atmosphere but not reserved, truly a great spot. Will be back.

I've eaten in a lot of food-famous cities and in a lot of high-end restaurants, and none of them have compared with this restaurant. This is a real gem. Worth the wait, worth the money (even though its really well-priced). The food is oustanding, but my favourite thing was the service and the ambiance - this is what makes, breaks... More

We could go on forever on how good the food is at this restaurant. I'm going to focus on one thing though. The Burger. Seriously. Go here and order the burger. Order is as rare as they can make it (just do it, even if you think it's scary) and enjoy the best burger in the province.

This is a nice little bistro in an intimate long, thin room with nice bar seating and about 12 (?) small tables. They dont take reservations, and on our last weekday visit the line up just before opening at 5.30 pm pretty much filled the place for the first hour. It is very popular with locals and the service is... More

Can't fault the ambience, or the service. The wine was good, and we had a great evening. But the food really fell short. We went for broke: appetizers, wine, main, dessert, coffee. My tuna appetizer ended up being blobs of food nicely arranged on a plate, but that didn't really speak to each other. Pear, tuna, some crispy thing: all... More

My Fiance and I went here on our first night in Victoria. It was a Friday night and there was two hour wait but we got lucky as some folks left the bar so the owner came outside as we were leaving and told us the good news. The bartender was very helpful with recommendations. We had the mussels, trout,... More

I was recently in Victoria for business and my spouse came along with me. We used tripadvisor and yelp to find.places to eat. The best meal we had all week was at Brassiere L'ecole. we also ate at Camille's, Ferris's and at the Noodle House in Chinatown. Right from the start we were greeted by a happy, excited host who... Hostess was really nice as well as our waitress. They were very attentive to our table. The reason for the not so good review is solely due to the food. It really was not anything special. Mind you - we didn't try any of the meat items so maybe they were good!
