If you plan to be in Vancouver on a Friday, do all you can to reserve a spot at the Friday lunch buffet. Assorted first courses and desserts are on the buffet and a selection of proteins (meat, fish, poultry) are served in between. The $22 pp is a bargain and you'll experience many new and creative flavors, textures and... More

Server is a culinary student, so he or she knows all the ingredients and preparation methods of each fabulous choice on the menu. Windows allow guests to observe uniformed students and instructors in kitchens preparing restaurant meals, catering fare and scrumptious desserts. Right at the marina by Granville Island, the view is invigorating. Elegant room design allows for several quiet,... More

I am giving this place gold stars (lots) and have not even eaten here yet. We were on afternoon walk-about and headed to Granville Island... Stopped to check out dinner options. Met staff member and trainer (this is a culinary school) Sonja at the hostess station and was so impressed we have put this on our YVR bucket list. More

Celebrated our silver anniversary together with family and friends. The set up tables near the wine bar. Dimmed light and candles made it romantic. Food is always great at this restaurant and they are prepared by students in their advanced culinary classes. Menus were explained thoroughly by the server students. Wine recommendations too. You are given 3 choices for appetizer/soup,... More

My husband and I visited Bistro 101 because we got a dealfind voucher. The service was excellent. It was a Friday night and we got buffet appetizer and dessert with 1 entree. Although we didn't have a choice for the entree, we had steam sable fish over sesame rice. We were very satisfied with the arrangement. All the foods were... More

I really enjoyed the lunch I had here. The only downfall is that the menu can be limited. However, it is a fantastic meal at a very good price with excellent service. More

We had lunch for $18.00 each. 3 courses. Plus, the waiter brought us an amuse-bouche and an extra salad, which we weren't expecting and was nice! Each course was excellent. Great service. Had a glass of wine (Little Straw) at $9.00, .... a decent pour. Coffee after dinner was $3.00. Very excellent experience. More

Our group of 6 loved our visit here. Beginning with the hostess, the server and the fine food, not to mention the open and spacious eating area, it was a very enjoyable evening. We will go back! More
