Really enjoyed my meal here. Good food, very attentive service, in a nice environment (not overly formal or stuffy). Nice wine list and cocktails as well. Will definitely return.

Definitely NOT the best restaurant in Vancouver. TripAdvisor may rate it number one, but our meal was not outstanding. Merely good to very good. Le Crocodile was night and day better ( I am only visiting Vancouver, I am NOT a shill reviewer, but the two meals at the two restaurants were not similar.)
Service was ok, restaurant was quite...

The food, the service, the atmosphere; - this place has IT all. I would recommend this again and again. The small touches on the plate are recognized and respected, the service is perfect without being too much, and the ambiance just works! Thank you, I cannot wait to return~
Food:
Their cuisine is clearly based on good and fresh ingredients, however dishes are not really impressing -- I'd rather say they are just average dishes. The main issue is that they mix too many flavours in the same dish, so you are overwhelmed, and can't really appreciate the main ingredient.

Went to here the last night in Vancouver and found the food to be excellent with service catering to the customers needs. The place was not over crowed but was full. I had a delightful cod in a parsley crust and semi crisp vegetables. Fish is one of those things that can either be enjoyable or not depending on freshness...

A group of friends and I went here for our quarterly get-together. I had hear a lot about this place, but never went. My friend made reservations online. We had great seats, more than enough room for everyone at the tablet. The ambiance was pleasant, definitely a bit more upscale feeling.
The service was excellent. The front staff acknowledged us...

Normally "trendy new hot spots" are all froth with little substance, but I was relieved that despite its trendy status, L'Abattoir offers great food and a welcoming ambiance. The only downside is that the restaurant falls into the expensive category. Scallops are one of my favourite dishes, and if they're on a menu, I almost always order them. The scallop...

My fiancee and I ate here mid-January. We were visiting family in Vancouver at the time and being a chef from England I was very keen to eat in the city's prime restaurants.
The layout of the restaurant itself was pleasing, not a whole lot of space but was used to maximum effect.
The menu had plenty of choice, it...

Excellent room, dark and moody. Great cocktails, food and staff. Had a great night out. Highly recommend
Small Menu but every thing is good. We have 5 ppl therefore almost order a half of the menu and every one of it is worth a try. The service was kinda slow because the restaurant itself is quite busy. BTW i really suggest Tripadvisor to cut the minimum into 50 words.....
