Can't say anything negative about this place, as it has it all. Will break the bank though but for a splurge it is worth it! Food melts in your mouth and the view is to die for! Most of herbs grown on the premises and you can take a tour of the place too.

The food was excellent, as was the service. It is definitely a 'special occasion' type of place. Each course was delightful.

If you want a combination of outstanding food, great service, a beautiful old English style dining room, and spectacular harbour views, there is nothing to compare to the Hasting House on the island. The food is presented beautifully by the great chefs and served by a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Not cheap but if you want a perfect dining experience... More

The ambiance alone is worth it: looking at Ganges harbour through leaded glass panes, a fireplace on the other side. Felt like we had dinner in an old English inn. The food was outstanding from first bite to last. But the most amazing thing was that sous chef Karla had made us a chocolate ganache tort with whipped cream and... More

Great portions, amazing menus, and we carried our stomachs out. The best part was, if you have reservations, they customize the menu with your name on the menu!

One of the best dining experiences we've ever had! A special thanks to our server, Robert, for taking such good care of us. Your service and warm smile, the magnificent setting, the wine choices and the exceptional food made the entire evening magical. Also, kudos to the chefs for creating such a wonderful feast. Each course was a culinary experience... More

very pricey, but what a lovely place and the staff are all very friendly yet professional. Nice touches let you know this is a spot well worth going too. Just ignore the price and enjoy the service, selection and venue

We visited Hastings House with friends who frequent Salt Spring Island on their boat. They are "regulars" and all of us were excited about our evening ashore. To their surprise there was no lamb (a specialty, and the main purpose of our visit) or beef on the the 3 course menu ($70). The entre choices were pork, chicken, and fish(2).... More
