Having spent 2 weeks in various hotels in BC & The Rockies this was by far the worst. Old & in need of upgrading we had twin bed room although a double was booked. No TV or coffee making facilities in room. Bathroom door broken & didn't close, floor tiles broken & no sink plug, noisy could hear people talking... More

I did not eat at the hotel restaurant, but I stayed four nights in a very small room on the 3rd floor with no elevator. This would have to be considered "quaint" as the building is old. But the staff was very nice and I just needed a place to sleep after hiking all day that wasn't going to cost... More

Staying at Chateau Lake Louise but could not get a booking for dinner. Noticed this restaurant on the drive to Chateau. Very rustic but staff so helpful and the food was presented as good as a 5star restaurant and excellent value for money. Seek a table in the bar area more casual and prices are cheaper plus you get to... More

Delicious food, we like a menu that you have trouble choosing what you want! The old wooden building and dim lighting while it's snowing outside really creates an atmosphere. The service was lacking from no acknowledgment on arrival, no understanding of the menu to a very uninterested attitude, this is unfortunate.

Visited on a Wednesday evening in April and the place was empty. The service was, as one might expect, perfect. We tried the butternut squash soup and the elk meatballs to start. Both excellent. The seasoning in the soup was amazing. My wife had the scallops as her entree, while I had the angus rib eye. Coffee and berry buckle... More

We ate at Deer Lodge for 4 of the 5 nights that we were in Lake Louise. I wish I was eating there tonight... Highly recommend the Charcuterie Platter, delicious.

After a day of ski at The Lake, we looked forward to a delicious dinner. It was lovely to be staying at Deer Lodge and just walk down from our room and be seated at a lovely spot for two by the window. The snow was falling outside..it was very romantic. We started with a daily soup and the scallops.... More

In looking for a decent place to eat for the three of us (for under $150) we found this restaurant in the Deer lodge. It was fully reserved Saturday night, but they sat us in the lounge - it had the same atmosphere. Aside from trying to get a bottle of wine We liked (they were out of my first... More

Right near the Fairmont on Zlake Louuse, Deer Lodge is like a little hideaway off the beaten track and great for a stay in the mountains. Not full of frills and luxury rooms, but the food is well worth a visit if nothing else.

I don't have a bad word to say about the place. There was six of us that had dinner and all of us were of the same opinion. The Menu was very good. Top ratings from the starters was the charcuterie and scallops, and my friend raved about the duck. Its a nice setting and has a relaxed feel, although... More
