moved to Cornwall two years ago and being regulars at dining out we always return to the Journeyman for special occasions. The menu is excellent which includes superb indian food (our favourite) plus A la Carte. Would have no worries at recommending this restaurant to our family and friends More

We booked in here for my birthday, whilst staying close by in Little Petherick. We were recommended by the hotel (Molesworth Manor) and we were not dissappointed. Although the two main course duck dishes we would have liked, were not available (obviously very popular), we still enjoyed the meals we had. Luckily there was enough duck left for the Thai... More

Ate here twice in the last week while we were staying in the area and both meals were excellent. Would definitely recommend the Nepalese Lamb. Lovely atmosphere, staff efficient and friendly. A pity we live so far away so we can't visit regularly. Would suggest booking in advance as they are only small. More

We were really disappointed with this restaurant. It was set in what should have been an idyllic old mill setting. We called to book a table and were told they were fully booked for the time we wanted but offered us a different time which we accepted. However when we got there there were only two people eating and when... More

One of the best curries we've had in a restaurant for ages. Everythings cooked fresh and the portions are generous in size. The staff are very happy to accommodate you with whatever needs you have, especially if you have children with you. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone, but ensure you book first so not to be disappointed... More

We were visiting the area and were looking for a restaurant that would accommodate some different tastes and food preferences. The food was wonderful, the welcome was very friendly and the restaurant while small was lovely and quirky. I will certainly return next time we are in the area. More

My wife and I visited The Journeyman last night with our 15 week old daughter (in pushchair). We are staying near Padstow and searched Trip Advisor in search of a good Indian Restaurant... The Journeyman reviews looked very good so we decided to book... We are so glad we did !!! Firstly, the building is lovely, located in a beautiful... More

I always make a point of visiting this restaurant, usually twice, during our annual trips to Cornwall since first discovering it some five years ago. I reported at some length in August 2010, so I won't go into details as this report can be read by scrolling back to that date. Suffice to say that despite a couple of (surprising)... More

Hi Malcolm Nice to see you and Di again many thanks for the curries, am saving them for when I get a saturday night off as it will be a real treat to eat something someone else has cooked! Glad you enjoyed your meals, see you next year. Cheers Steve More

What a fantastic albeit quirky little restaurant! The curry was amongst the best I have ever eaten - far better than most curry houses. All six of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and I can personally reccomend the Curry Combo. The Chef was very friendly and introduced himself on arrival. We are staying in Newquay in October and although it... More

We managed to get a reservation after several attempts and turned up ever so slightly late as it's not that easy to find. Initially this seemed like it was going to be a problem, despite only one other diner when we arrived but we were shown to our table and service was fine after that. Having read the largely positive... More
