Let's be fair here... there is nothing wrong with this place per se, all I'm saying is that this place is average at best, nothing to write home about (I had a salad, ravioli and a limonada... meh...) and with so many other options in town, I really don't think I'll be coming back. I checked it out because of... More

Tucked in away from a major street, facing a lovely elongated patio you'll find La Finestra, a charming glassed-in cafe with a pleasant and relaxed bistro vibe. There's a rack of magazines in Spanish and English, inviting one to stay awhile and enjoy the atmosphere, whether it be for sweet bite with a good cup of coffee or something more... More

Excellent service and very good food - we enjoyed a wonderful lentil soup and other dishes including an apple strudel for dessert. Also good coffee/espresso. Will return.

Great arranchara. prices much lower at lunch time. Nice breeze as it's upstairs, with wide open windows on both sides. Very tiny dining room. The food is good and the waiters are attentive and friendly.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN OUTSTANDING RESTAURANT WITH DELICIOUS FOOD AND A GREAT VALUE THEN YOU HAVE FOUND THE ONE! I have lived in SM for a month and have eaten here twice a week.. The owners are the chefs, the restaurant is quaint and colorful, the food is fresh and organic and very, very gourmet! They have a... More

Cant speak for breakfast which sounds better but the lunch menu was not cheap, mediocre in all the slightly fancy sounding but simple dishes we tried(relying too heavily on the simple remedy of drenching everything in sour cream) and of such small portions of salad and main dish I ended up eating too much (again not so great white) bread... We stumbled upon La Finestra while shopping at the great little artisan shops in the Plaza ColoniaL. It was our first day in SMA and we immediately liked the ambiance of this delightful restaurant. We chose to eat outside in the tiny plant filled courtyard which reminded us so much of European bistros. The owner, who also served and cooked,... More

“La Finestra” in Italian means window. Don’t ask, this is San Miguel de Allende. Nevertheless this charming little restaurant is located in a building bisected by two halls connected at a ninety degree angle. Down one hall are jewelry and other artisan shops and the other hall contains the restaurant and indeed, the indoor and outdoor portions of the restaurant... More

You could easily miss the location without guidance (located inside the Plaza Colonial across from the Bellas Artes) and that would be a shame. A lovely, quaint restaurant serving a full, mixed menu of both Mexican and Continental fare. The owners are on sight and it shows - this restaurant shines from beginning to end. A lovely little courtyard with... More

You can reach this restaurant either from Canal street or Hernandez Macias street. The place is far from being pretencious. As a matter of fact, the owners keep a couple of parrots and some birds in the restaurant and, that circumstance, and the fact that the place is surrounded by all kind of plants and flowers, make you think for...
