nice restaurant in the middle of the 5th avenue, the food and service are excellent and make this restaurant one of the best in playa. the price is a bit high but if you are a meat lover you wont be dissapointed. from apetizers to desert all is perfect.

No beach view, however this restaurant is perched right on Fifth so always plenty of activity around. We sat upstairs which was quite nice. Liked the octopus and Argentian sausage appetizers. Fish was nice but nothing to write home about. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will go back just to give it another try.

Had the caesar salad, pasta and the tenderloin. Very good. Ask for a corner table on the 2nd floor overlooking 5th Avenue. We had a great angus filet mignon. Came with a salad. Everything is ala carte here. We got mashed potatoes and bernaise sauce as well. The staff made the experience special by being really warm and amiable - and very sophisticated and refined in their manners. We chose Sur for our last night in Playa. A great location as well as excellent service and food. I had the best glass of wine here, a carmenere. Beautiful. Will return!

Dinner for four with a bottle of wine for around $180.00 USD and well worth it. Something for everyone on their menu. Great food and presentation and the wait staff were as good as any we've experienced in Mexico or stateside. If you're looking to celebrate a special event with a great meal, I would go to Sur Steakhouse.
