I do love that I was able to find a treat at a bakery, but it was just ok. They have mousse and a chocolate cake that are gluten free. I tried the cake. It was ok, strange texture. I put it in the fridge for later and it was better cold. Firmer, but a bit too crumbly. I hear... More

Perfect after-dinner stop, I think they are open until 11. We each had a crepe and an iced chocolate milk,; we sat outside, there was live music playing, what more can you ask for? Better service, I do agree with the other reviewers who said that, but it wasn't horrible, and I certainly wouldn't let it keep you from checking... More

I stopped by Chez Celine several times on my vacation to Playa del Carmen. I loved their breakfast pasteries. They open at 8 am. You can walk into their small air conditioned shop, which is what I did, or you can sit at one of the tables outside. Service is ok but not great. The atmosphere is lovely and you... More

We stopped by this wonderful restaurant because the smell of fresh bread and cheese was just to good to resist. The sandwiches are excellent. My girlfriend had one with with a ton of salmon, and I had one with olive oil and goat cheese. Both were very inexpensive for the quality. We had lemonade with anis and it was excellent... More

The bread smells amazing from half a block away. We had toast with honey and granola with yogurt as well as a fantastic little salad with pears and pungent gorgonzola. It's a great change of pace from a week full of ceviche and tacos. Also a big plus is they have wifi to check up on emails which was hard... More

This is my favorite place to eat breakfast, but its based on the food only. Most of the time the service is pretty bad, but the food makes up for it too me. If you are not in a hurry, and just want good food, then Chez Celine is the place to go.

maybe it's because our friends were raving about how great this place is that they over-hyped it, but when we had breakfast we felt it was good, but not great. it was a good value, but the food wasn't anything real special. the pastries and desserts are better than the breakfast! but you definitely won't be upset that you visited... The jam was delicious if you go here for breakfast make sure you get some jam. Omelette tasty and well presented. The bread fresh and the croissant like one you would get in France. Service excellent and really good value.

Great service, nice food, big menu and free wifi - prices are normal to non pricy at all. The only problem i had is that for somehow the place was full of mosquitoes, so make sure you come with a cream against them. Overall - good!
