If you like it in the USA you will like it here in Merida. Not anything special for the traveler but for the "locals" it is very special and very different from has been know in the past (NO coffee shops). They are all over the town so you should be able to fill your Starbucks fix in short order.

If you enjoy familiarity and the safety of knowing that the food and coffee will be exactly the same as it is in any other starbucks anywhere else in the world then you'll like it here. There are plenty of better local restaurants to get a snack.

Went to several Mexican Coffee houses to get a good iced coffee but none had lactose free milk. Went to Starbucks and got my iced latte with lactose free milk and it was so good, i went back for another.
