Rescoldos is a little out of the main centre of Merida, but for us staying on Av Colon it was halfway back to the hotel so really convenient. The menu has a good range of Mediterranean dishes, including loads for vegetarians. There's a really nice courtyard out the back for eating al fresco

Sometimes when visiting a new culture you just need a break from all the differences. Rescoldos makes you feel like you are at home, only better. The setting is a very intimate garden. The service is excellent but unobtrusive. I love their Greek Salad and wood fire pizzas. Try the homemade gelato...yummy!

Pizza was ok but the greek salad was way over-dressed and loaded with vinegar. We actually found the locale to be better than the food overall. Maybe it was just a bad night but having been to other restaurants in Merida, it definitely wouldn't be our first choice to go to again.
