Don;t get fool of yourself and avoid it because is "pricey". Actually the price is great for the quality of food and service. Don't forget to order also a Flan, delicious and big portion, you should share it with your partner.

We were staying in Monterrey with Friends and they took us to this restaurant. The service was excellent and the cabrito was awesome. We were advised to get the Front leg as it was the best part and it was so tender and juicy.

Here you can enjoy all the best of Monterrey regional food. The best carne asada plates are Agujas Nortenas, Ribeye ribs and Arrachera. They have also Cabrito (baby goat) and the other plates that come from goat that are fritada (blood soup) machitos and goat head meet. They start with refried beans, chips and salsa. If you need some greens,... More

This is one of the best options for Cabrito in Monterrey. You can choose, which part of the animal you prefer and order different varieties. Apart from that there is huge variety of different meat dishes, a salad bar and other platters. However, once in Monterrey you gotta taste the famous local speciality Cabrito. The service of the aged but... More

Ate there after it was recommended by locals. We had to sample the Cabrito. The service was great. Salad bar was nothing to write home about. Order the marinated cheaper Cabrito. It was better than the roasted. The waiter recommended the leg rather than the breast we wanted, saying the breast was dry. Hot sauce was fiery. Bean appetizer was... More

I have tried the Gran San Carlos a couple of times for some of my family members, as for myself and my vegetarian friends this is a NO GO place. BUT it seems to be just right for my goat loving friends. They really seem to like to quality of the goat, all non goat items just seem to be... More

Based on reviews on Trip Advisor and Chowhounds we decided to go to Gran San Carlos for cabrito. Our cab driver also told us it was one of the better places to go for cabrito. It was great. We were not disappointed. The portions are very large. One order of steak arrachera and cabrito was enough to feed three adults.... More
