Made a point to return to Le Pressior on this visit to St Martin. Glad we did. Food was delicious and service better than any we experienced on 5 or so trips to St Martin! We do not claim to be foodies by any stretch but do not mind spending a little extra for the meal if the staff actually...

Still the undefeated best cuisine on the island, though followed closely by L’Auberge Gourmande nearby. We had their signature “four versions of foie gras” as a starter, excellent as always, then I had the rack of lamb (one of the best I’ve ever eaten) and my wife had a wonderful thick beef filet in Camembert sauce.
Service is perfect, the...

Food was excellent and service literally one of the best I've ever seen on 3 continents. Rabbit was out of this world and so was their house dessert with a pear.
I would have to agree with other reviewers that the food was just mediocre and the service pretentious and uneven. We were seated in the middle of a maelstrom right outside the kitchen and could not relax because of the chaos of servers rushing back and forth like chickens with their heads cut off. We also waited an unacceptable amount...

Scallops, rack of lamb; lobster bisque, dover sole;chateauneuf-du-pape. Great inside corner table next to open shutter window; attentive, timely (but not overbearing) service. excellent, excellent , excellent with a cost on par with others on restaurant row.
Le Pressoir is the best of a great Grand Case group.
Had dinner at 5 others on restaurant row -- good varity shared...

Presentation was photo worthy. Balance of favors spectacular. Expensive but ohhhh so worth it.
We went to Le Pressoir with four friends. The food was good but not excellent and not worth the price. The service was very friendly, but we felt that it was not authentic, rather pretended. In our opinion, there are other "haute cusine" French restaurants that offer a far better package of excellent, creative food and genuine, caring service.
We visited this place 5 years ago and thought it was outstanding then - hasn't lost it's touch. It's out in Grand Case, which does take a little effort to get to. No view of the water and if you sit outside you get a modest amount of street noise. No matter - the food is exceptional, the atmosphere terrific...

Easy to miss on a street with 20+ places to choose from,
La Pressoir caught us by surprise when least expected it. The Goat Cheese appetizer special was whipped to a light and airy consistency which amounted to an amazing concoction. I told them I never had anything like it and they said it was the chef's secret recipe. For...
