Had a very nice dinner here. I am not familiar with Peruvian food which added to the enjoyment as the dishes were a bit different. Would go back.
I would have given this place 5 stars because our dinner here was our favorite dinner of the week but the service was so slooooow. We sat in the area not facing the street. It was nice but incredibly hot as there was very little breeze. I had the Pescado a lo macho which was fish in a creamy chili... More
They have a huge menu which should have tipped me off, I had to go with my fourth choice in meals because the first three were not available. However, there were lots of great things to pick from and I was very happy with my fish. It's a bit cramped but nice atmosphere.
Plazita Limena is a wonderful place downtown. We've been to Bonaire seven times and were happy when this place opened several years ago. The food is pretty good but specifically some of their dishes are excellent. For appetizers, make sure to order the stuffed avocado that comes stuffed with shrimp and potato salad. It's hands-down the best appetizer on the... More
Good, interesting food at reasonable prices. We are sorry to not have had time to return a second time. I had the Peruvian lamb stew with beans and fried plantains. I loved it! My partner had a beef dish - and we enjoyed both equally well as the next day's lunch. We hear the ceviche is fantastic - but, I... More
The food was good. I had a greek salad and warm bread. The bread was amazing! My lunch date had some kind of spicy beef sandwich with a side of beans and rice that he really liked. The service was not so great. We waited a long time for someone to take our order and then a long time for... More
We came in for dinner at 6 p.m. and took a table in the back to avoid the bugs. The open-walled back room provided some protection from the bugs, but the staff quickly brought some Off to help us ward any remaining insects. The staff was delightful; lots of smiles (especially when we spoke Spanish with them), prompt and frequent... More
We parked around back and sat in an open-air pavilion which was lovely. This was the best food in a week of very good dining experiences: milky shrimp soup and pumpkin stew to start, Peruvian paella and lamb stew, and flan. Others have mentioned lackluster service but we did not see that. They light little punk/coils under the tables that... More
I've been here twice now and both times the food was really tasty. The service can be a bit slow; just remember you are on island time. Highlights on the menu include the ceviche, grilled local fish and lomito saltado. Order a bottle of Inca Cola to wash it all down just like you would in El Peru.
I had most excellent service-an incredible agrentina inspired drink, and a fabulous, inexpensive dinner! I ate ther my last night. Would have eaten there more if I had tried it earlier-loved it!A.Clayton
