We were looking for an early dinner and found the Laughing Monk after getting lost in all those little lanes that infest Devon. The meal we had was by far the best meal of the week. The pork was fantastic. Definitely the best food in the area for us.

Just spent 4 continuous nights at the Laughing Monk. Great menu, reasonably priced wine list, and attentive service - all in a lovely setting.

By which I mean near my house! We love food and we loved The Laughing Monk. You would pay a heck of a lot more to get the same quality in big cities like London and Paris. Everything was just perfect.

What more can we say!! The best sea-food grill I have ever tasted.
