If this place was in a larger city, Anthony Bourdain would have been there already.. Great food, and great care goes into everything made here. This is the one place you want to eat at in Alaska.

I have traveled many places in the world and have yet to experience dining like the time at 229 Parks, in Denali National Park, Alaska! It is a hidden treasure off of Parks Highway. I found it because of friends that live in the area. Without sounding too wishy washy - you can tase the LOVE that the Chef has... More

This is a very nice resturant with excellent food. It is not cheap and will be very crowded in the summer but it is worth the wait. I suggest you simply plan to spend the evening there and make the best of it. It is off the highway south of the park entrance so just look for the mile marker.... More

We were traveling with a cruise tour group and while in the heart of touristy town just outside the wonderful Denali National Park we asked where do the locals go for a good meal. By the time we got the same answer from 5 different people (a young waitress in an OK restaurant said "When my folks come to visit... More

and i'm a local foodie! amazing meal, I tried everything that my family had, and everything was amazing (except the salmon, it wasn't bad, it's just we get great salmon all the time). If you go to Denali National Park, then you need to eat here.

An outstanding restaurant by any measure and likely the best in the state of Alaska. I believe the owner/chef is the daughter of the couple who own Camp Denali (their son runs Camp Denali). The restaurant has access to extremely fresh ingredients - especially fish. The wine list is excellent. Service is friendly, and servers appear superbly trained. The restaurant... More

We had a great meal - we were tired having flown in from Hawaii and driven up to Denali Cabins and we decided to walk across to the restaurant and saw our first moose! The food choice suited our limited appetite but also the full meals looked excellent - plenty of space between tables - excellent service and well prepared... More

This is a terrific restaurant- soup to nuts! Hands down, the best meal that we ate in Alaska. Our party of five was thrilled individually with appetizers, salads and desserts- we were familshed after a day of hiking in Denali. Even the rolls are homemade and come with an amazing butter. Service was a bit slow, but we were happy... More
