Maybe it's because the Cafe far exceeded our just-stopping-in-cause-the-grandsons-are-starving expectations, or because the place (and the staff) don't pretend to be anything they're not, but we thought the food and service excellent, and deserved that rating. Fish and chips (french fries, but really good ones); fish tacos as good as any I've eaten. The kids' Mooster burger (no hint of... More

Just great. The breakfasts were very very good. The dinners were great. They have a very diverse menu--even vegetarian friendly. They also offer a lunch-packing service which we really appreciated for our numerous day-hikes in Denali.

I'm a pretty easy going person when it comes to restaurant food and service, but something had to be said about this place. My husband and I came here for lunch. The first time, our server took our order, and about an hour and ten minutes later, the food came out, and the order was completely wrong. A few days... More

When we visited in July, it was the height of the tourist season so we had to wait a little, but the food was well worth the wait. While waiting, we scoped out the food being taken to other customers and decided that we would share a chicken pot pie which was huge and looked delectable. We were not disappointed... More

We have gone to the McKinley Creekside Cafe on several occasions and tried several different entrees and baked goods. They surprise us with every visit by making some of the best food in this area. My husband claims that their "Moo-ster Burger" is the best hamburger he's ever had and I think that their Baja Taco's are the best I've... More

Our wife's brother had suggested this place to us, so we stopped in for dinner. From the road, and even from the inside, it looks like a casual cafe, but don't be fooled, this is more upscale than you think. The menu - and prices - are not cafe-level. The menu has good variety, and they have a decent selection... More

Had the pleasure of dining once at McKinley Creekside Cafe and wished that I'd had the opportunity to visit again! I had the hummus appetizer which was fresh and affordable. Lucky enough to stop on Lasagne night (one of my favorite dishes). Not often that you find vegetarian lasagne as an option, and they had it! Delicious with spinach and... More

My husband and I were staying at a local BNB in the Denali park area, and we ate dinner 2 nights in a row at this restaurant. The first night was so good, we went back the second night, which we never do. My husband always wants to try new places. The first night we had salmon in puff pastry... More

We happened to stop here on August 12 and were shocked- the quality of the food and the creativeness of the specials/menu was outstanding compared to most restaurants we experienced on our trip. Very good food! Nice people! Highly recommend! Very casual setting, have burgers, chicken strips for the kids. Also nice small gift shop on premises. Only negative is... More
