We read the mixed reviews and were skeptical but we gave it a go & were really happy! We ate here for lunch and the staff were never far away & very friendly. Hubby ate an omelette which he loved and I had a seafood salad which was the best one I ate in Thailand. Cheap, cheerful and delicious. Very... More

Ordered the fried calamari and it was fantastic! Big rings lightly battered and tender, not chewy! Also ordered the green curry which was very good. Service was very friendly, but a tad slow. The restaurant has a nice beach set up (secure table, linens, cloth napkins) and the wait staff all wear a uniform so it’s easy to spot someone... More

The staff were really nice - and the location on the beach is great. The tables are clean and the service was above average. But the most important part of any dining experience is the food. We ate there last night - for a starter we ordered the chicken coconut soup - classic Thai dish. Done very very poorly. Oh... More

I have been to this place at least 10 times and it is one of my most favorite restaurants to go in Nai Yang. The service is without failure great and attentive, the staff is friendly and smiley. They remember your face and name and are well organized when they are busy. Honestly, I do not understand other posts when... More

We went here on 3 April 2013 based on its reviews here. We just got back to our hotel. We were very disappointed. We waited 30 minutes for our food. When the chicken satay arrived it was very cold. I asked if it was supposed to be (I didn't know) and the head waiter said he would "reheat it" and... More

We came here based on the reviews we saw on trip advisor and we were very disappointed. We have lived in Thailand for several years and we now vist the country every two years. All went wrong. Service was really bad. The waiter twice brought us food we did not order. When the food we did choose finally came we... More

My husband and I tried this place. We enjoyed that the staff were able to recommend how to prepare the seafood we ordered. Great cocktails, although they made a mistake on our wine order and overcharged us. We found the lobster to be expensive, but the fish and crab were really lovely.

We has a three course meal on the beach. They were busy but the service was friendly and efficient. Prawn spring roles as a starter; then beef with ginger and rice while my wife had yellow noodles and pork. Both were delicious. We had banana fritters and I cream. Two cocktails and brandies and the cost was tbr 1400(about £28-,for... More

Have just had dinner here at the Baan Ra Tree. We had spring rolls (delicious), 2 mains plus rice,2 desserts, 2 cocktails and two brandys for £30. The staff were lovely and friendly despite being extremely busy. Again I was left wondering why anyone would pay the prices the hotel charge for a meal, when there are places like this just... More

My new favourite restaurant on Nai Yang beach and trust me I've tried them all! Every dish I've tried at Bann Ra Tree has been delicious. I highly reccommend their Masaman curry. The menu is set out listing the style of dish such as Masaman or Paneng followed by a list of different meats to choose from. However if like... More
