The setting, on the edge of floodlit paddy fields is novel but no more. Eating rice from those paddy fields is novel but we ate better rice elsewhere. The food was ok but for the price, should have been exceptional. Our meal was by no means exceptional and we left disappointed.

Really quite a unique and lovely spot. Surrounded by rice patties and a little pond with ducks and a yak! How many restaurants do you know with a yak?!? Oh, yeah, and the food is good, too. Highly recommended.

Very nice place with view to the rice fields and beautiful architecture. The place was quite empty during our two visits unfortunately.....but the food was good and the staff were super nice.

The food at The Farmer Restaurant is amazing!!! One of the best meals that my husband and I have had over the 4 days that we were in Samui. Food is tasty and yet well balanced. Doesn't leave you feeling overstuffed, but refreshed instead! View from the restaurant over the padi fields was very nice and relaxing.

You absolutely get a lot of bang for your buck at the farmer. The portions are generous for the price and the presentation is beautiful. Food was very well done and very well presented, We followed advice of other Tripadvisor fellows and ordered crispy duck and lobster in green curry. All was fantastic!

We have had a nice dinner here. The patron is friendly and a good host. The menu offers nice dishes. Good wine selection. Beware that you are amidst rice paddies and you have to use repellant to prevent becoming a meal yourself for the mosquitoes
