We have been to this comfortable restaurant on several occasions for lunch and whether we take the "menu du jour" or one of the other, more expensive menus, the service, attention to detail, and flavour of the dishes is of a consistently high standard. The chef likes to please the eye with lots of colours and tastes in his presentation... More

The food is wonderful with lots of fish on the menu. We visited in October so it was a little quiet but we thought it would be fab in the summer. I would recommend this restaurant.

Finally a French Restaurant without "Louis Toujours" furniture or hay waggon wheels on the wall. It's strictly black and white interior with straight lines, sqaure slate plates upon which the dishes are served, and the absence of superfluous "baroque" decoration one so often finds in French Restaurants are pleasing to the eye. When to visit this restuarant the speciality of... More

Loved the excuisite food and glass wall overlooking the dordogne. More a couples place rather than a family restaurant and a wee bit pricey but couldn't fault the high standard of food !

Amid the 38 degree heat of mid-August in rural southwest France it was a refreshing change to sit down in a modern, fully air-conditioned and very clean and crisp restaurant. Wooden floors, white walls, glass atrium overlooking the river Dordogne (actually, the concrete supports of the road bridge into Ste Foy). They are obviously trying hard - amuse-bouches, well times... More

We ate the 28 euro menu this time at au fil de l'eau after visiting 7 years ago for the first time. It has changed inside somewhat and the interior is now modern. We ate with our 3 and 5 year old children. We were a bit concerned as to whether it would be child friendly but as our children... More

We were planning on having a sandwich somewhere but came upon this restaurant with its idyllic setting and couldn't resist. So glad we did. Not cheap but the sweetbreads with langoustine tails was just heavenly - so heavenly I had to take a photograph of it. The position overlooking the river together with an imaginative menu makes this an oasis... More

My wife and I ate at this restaurant overlooking the Dordogne during Easter 2012 and had a very good meal. Whereas most of the rest of Port Sainte Foy and Sainte Foy-La-Grande is old and rustique, this restaurant is very modern. The food and service were very good and the waiter was very patient with my bad French. My wife... More

Our second visit to this riverside haven and we were not disappointed, as so often happens the second time - in fact it was better. At a verandah table overlooking the river with fresh air but not too much, we had two 21€ menus and two 28€, both with 3 or 4 choices at each course; Ron's gaspacho with oysters... More
