The food is average and nothing of note, although to be fair we only visited once - didn't even think of going back. Take your own paper napkins if you go...

We were recommended to come and eat here by a retired couple who spend a few weeks in Mahabalipuram each year. The French owner is most welcoming, and seems to have a big ex-pat and tourist following. After the recommendation we had recieved from our friends, we felt we could eat our first salad at the end of a three... More

Looks good from the outside and prices looked reasonable. The one waiter working was rude on several occasions, he seated me and I asked to move as people were smoking inside he said I would have to move seats if a table of 4 wanted to come and sit where I was sitting, despite the fact that I was sitting... We came here for breakfast everyday. The food is good and the filter coffee is very good also. The staff is friendly and fast service. They remember what you like and don't like. Good ambiance. Good value.

The cuisine here is more geared to Westerners. The food is tasty and service is excellent. But come early because the place fills up fast. You can get a very good cheese omelette for breakfast or an excellent crepe for dessert. You'll hear lots of European languages spoken here as the owner is French. We enjoyed this place very much... Not sure why Nautilus isn't more popular with Indians, we found the food delicious and dined there for several consecutive meals when we were the only indians there. The place was full each time which was understandable as the food was great. We tried Chicken Chettinad, Coconut fish curry, prawn curry as main courses and they were all done well... More

We stayed upstairs at the guesthouse, which is not on trip advisor and thought it was pretty good. 1000RS for big, clean, AC room. The food down stairs was ok for lunch but nothing to write home and tell your mummy about. Never had breakfast here because they were always closed, I think they may only open at the weekend... More

We choose Nautilus since it was close to our hotel and it was packed out, which is always a good sign. It seemed to be full of Europeans (mostly French) eating European food. Service wasn´t that fast or good, maybe because they had so many customers, but luckily the food and the people watching made up for it. We ordered... More
