I used to go to this place each time i visit Mahabalipuram. Located in a peacefull street not far away from seeside, this without widows restaurant is now my canteen. Food is good, fish is fresh and ambiance is very cool for we family or friend moment.
We were recommended to come and eat here by a retired couple who spend a few weeks in Mahabalipuram each year. The French owner is most welcoming, and seems to have a big ex-pat and tourist following. After the recommendation we had recieved from our friends, we felt we could eat our first salad at the end of a three...

We came here for breakfast everyday. The food is good and the filter coffee is very good also. The staff is friendly and fast service. They remember what you like and don't like. Good ambiance. Good value.

You can get a very good cheese omelette for breakfast or an excellent crepe for dessert. You'll hear lots of European languages spoken here as the owner is French. We enjoyed this place very much...

We tried Chicken Chettinad, Coconut fish curry, prawn curry as main courses and they were all done well...

We stayed upstairs at the guesthouse, which is not on trip advisor and thought it was pretty good. 1000RS for big, clean, AC room. The food down stairs was ok for lunch but nothing to write home and tell your mummy about. Never had breakfast here because they were always closed, I think they may only open at the weekend...

We choose Nautilus since it was close to our hotel and it was packed out, which is always a good sign. It seemed to be full of Europeans (mostly French) eating European food.
Service wasn´t that fast or good, maybe because they had so many customers, but luckily the food and the people watching made up for it. We ordered...
