We were underwhelmed overall with the meals we had in lagrasse. The service at this restaurant was very efficient and helpful however the food did not live up to the same standard. The children's meal was very poor - it was steak hache which was just ok but served with a cold potato dish which really didn't taste nice. My... More

This is a lovely restaurant on the main street in Lagrasse. It has large mirrors, flowers and appears very French with very nice food to match. Little English was spoken and menu was in French but wait staff was able to communicate enough to satisfy my daughter that she was ordering something she would like.

We loved L'Affenage the first night we ate here. Our vacation in October meant that many of the restaurants in town were only open on the weekends and we ended up here a second time because nothing else was open. The food was very good and the service attentive and kind.

Good choice of fixed price menus with options for vegetarians. Three courses was almost too much for us - but we managed. We sat out front and watched life go by on the main street - fairly quiet really, Lagrass is not a huge place. Overall really enjoyed the food and service the last time we visited several years ago... More

Took a chance on this a few years back while is Lagrasse and now make it a regular trip every year. Unpretentious traditional fare, well cooked in a friendly atmosphere. Not cheap but a delightful meal every time - just as I imagine a French bistro should be.

Our party of 10 ate here one August evening - warm enough to stay outside all evening. The service was a little slow but the qualityof the food made-up for that. The staff were friendly but efficient - and apologised for the delays - they were very busy and short-staffed. The owner had time to talk towards the end of... More

On a day drive around the Cathar sites we decided that, when we reached Lagrasse, we would stop for lunch. After parking we headed back through the town toward the restaurant that had looked most promising when we drove through... it turned out to be L'Affenage... A lot of thought had been put into the decor - which was fun... More

Ate at L'Affebage twice this week (late February 2011). Good fish, e.g. Anchovy starter, red mulled and prawns main from the 25 euro menu. May go again today!
