Went there on a Monday night. Typical Pub with a bit outdated decor, but in good condition. Small tables, very variable quality of the food. For instance an excellent soup, a good salad but an average burger. Staff were a bit distant. Not bad but room for improvement.

Another successful meal at the Egerton. My husband is a coeliac and he must stick to a gluten free diet so eating out can sometimes be frustrating for him especially if he cannot order his top choices. This is not a problem at the Egerton and he was able to enjoy his 1st choice of venison stroganoff which he said... More

We've passed the Egerton for years but had never gotten around to calling until a friend recommended it. I'm very glad we finally did. The atmosphere, the service and most important the food were all superb. The monkfish was one if the best I can recall. Even the kids chicken goujons were gorgeous and clearly made on the premises. None... More

We were stopping at the Carden Park Hotel for a two night break with dinner on the first night so we needed somewhere nearby for our Sunday dinner. On checking Google the nearest was the Egerton Arms so we ventured down and we found a real gem of a pub with a nice relaxed atmosphere. We both had the roast... More

We visited the Egerton Arms near Chelford for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We'd recommend it to any passer by. Great food, great service. Though the soft drinks were pricey.

This pub has changed hands many times over the years and if you have not been for some time it is worth a try again. My wife and I called in for Sunday lunch after a trip to Chester and we were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the food and the service. We both opted for the Sunday Roast... More

We ate at the Egerton arms on a Monday evening having tried a few other places locally and having been refused as apparently Monday evenings aren't that busy. (Thanks to the Cholmondeley Arms for turning us away at 8pm as "chef is cleaning down and wants to go home early" - wont be going there again!) we were the only... More

Three of us ate at the Egerton having not been for a while on Monday. We were very nicely welcomed in and shown to a table. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. When the food arrived it was noticed that the potato accompaniment with the breaded chicken contained a lot of peppers and if the menu had said this... More

good pub, was very busy during our visit, i found the menu choices quite boring, it was definitely lacking something, to the point where there was literally nothing on the menu that i wanted to order. i eventually decided to order chinese style duck wraps off the starters as a main meal. my friend ordered the burger. the food was...
