Consistently good food and service at reasonable prices. The menus are always changing and the 3 course restaurant deal at £12.95 is always excellent.

We are regulars and return time and time again because of the delicious food. Staff are friendly and the pub has a lovely feel to it. It is one of our all time favourites and we have recommended the grapes to many of our friends.Keep up the good work!

Had two very enjoyable lunches here. Great sandwiches and tasty chips. The beef in the hot beef and onion barm was very tender and tasty. The only disappointment was the lasagne which appeared to have been microwaved and was rather sloppy in appearance. Service is friendly and attentive.

I have just come back from eating here and couldn't stop raving about it so I decided to write a review. The 3 of us had the 3 course mid week menu for £12.95. All of the food was excellent quality, was served hot and was beautifully cooked. It is high quality English pub food, melon, soup, roast dinners and... More

I live in Croston and know that The Grapes serves excellent quality food and is good value for money. We have eaten both in the restaurant and had bar meals many times and have been pleased and satisfied. I have also attended buffets catered both onsite and at Croston Old School and have always found there to be plenty to... More

We have been regulars at the Grapes for the last 5 years and have never been disapointed with any of the meals ie. in the bar, restaurant, a celebration meal, party buffet. Helen & Stuart, Ian and all their staff are excellent hosts and go out of their way to make sure everything is to your liking. Thank you and... More

Attended a buffet on Friday. I have to say that I was extremely satisfied with what I ate. There were five choices of sandwiches as far as I could tell. Plenty of pies, quiche and sausage rolls. Some people even took some home. There was salad and really creamy coleslaw too, we commented on this and was advised that it... More

Buffet must be very different from the general meals. Very poor value for £7 per head . There seemed to be about one sandwich (2 slices of basic sliced bread) per person with tuna or egg, few crisps, small slice of quiche (nice) + mini sausage roll or 1/2 pie, minute slice of garlic bread & a tsp of coleslaw.... We called in 'on spec' after seeing good reviews, and were pleasantly surprised. Even on a Saturday night we were able to get a table without a reservation, however we went quite early, and by the time we left the restaurant and the bar dining area were both full. Whilst we ate in the main restaurant, we were impressed by... More
