looking for somewhere to eat lunch found this restaurant, and we were surprised how nice it was, even though it was a busy Sunday lunchtime we were seated very quickly. Service was prompt and efficient, food well presented and tasty, we especially enjoyed the sharing cheese, will definitely be returning soon!

We went to the Saracens Head for Saturday lunch. We had chicken liver parfait to start. It was served with a small brioche type roll. It didn't really go and was too doughy and sweet with the pâté. For main we both had classic burger but I ordered thick chips instead of skinny McDonald's type fries. The burger was ok.... More

I have used this pub on and off for 30 odd years. It is unrecognisable from the early days apart from the Canal Room. However the current layout is very tasteful and acceptable. The service is quite outstanding and the young staff, both bar and dining, make you feel that you are the only one there. The various menus are... More

I accidentally found this place due to a diversion due to the road being closed & I'm glad I did. Nice clean place, lovely settings & nice modern decor. The food was lovely the staff were a bit slow to see to you but they were lovely didn't feel rushed at all. I would defiantly come again.

We went with the BOSS's parents and the boy for lunch. We all had different meals and they were all delicious. Good value set lunch menu; the only problem was they had sold out of my selection for a starter and dessert. However when I asked for a dessert off the main menu they agreed at no extra cost. Service... More

Light and airy restaurant, lovely outlook over the canal if you book a window table. Friendly, laid back service, perhaps a tad slow but it was Good Friday and they were busy. Excellent food well presented, a smallish lunch menu but quite varied and moderately priced. Would definitely go again. It's a pleasant setting off the beaten track - mind... More

Went for Sunday evening dinner. I was a bit concerned as it was literally as they were closing the resturant and taking last food orders. We had the cheese garlic bread to start (big enough for 2 to share), leek pie and chicken supreme (with very nice sides). The food was very nice, but unfortunately the young girls (who were... More

My first visit and it won't be my last! We went for a family Sunday lunch. The location right on the canal is really attractive, and when you go inside, the pub is clean and modern looking with lots of comfy sofas. We were given menus to browse while we waited for our table. Unlike a lot of places where... More
