The food is delicious made even better with the impeccable service. Therefore, always a line during eating hours. Highly recommend the curry. The specials are always a good deal. In the past, hotel guests used to get first table available. No longer. Must make reservations. Unlike American diners, there are no free refills for coffee here.

The "best pancake" verdict was according to my 13-year old son. Since he has eaten pancakes far and wide, I believe him, although I stuck with poached eggs-- which were perfect. Although called a diner, the restaurant has a chic modern decor and excellent service. It is within the Imperial Hotel and Imperial Club members get 10% off of meals.

This is the "coffee shop" in the Imperial Hotel. The food was fine, nothing to write home about. There are 50 better dining options within 1/2 mile of this diner, but if you just want a quick breakfast in the hotel, the food is fine and the service is the typical Imperial Hotel high quality.

Perhaps my perception was tainted by our disappointment at missing Japanese breakfast at Namadan by 5 mns. We certainly were warmly welcomed and seated comfortably. But the American breakfast composed of grapefruit juice (not fresh), poached eggs and bacon with an odd selection of al dente carrots, corn kernels and broccoli, and cold toast with a single cup of green... high quality ingredients and really nice staff, The Diner is bright, and very chic. Service and quality exceeded my expectations. Make Dinner reservations, the restaurant is busy.

This has got to be one of the best pancakes in town. The pancakes are a must, it comes with a jewel like strawberry confiture on the side. So pretty! Crisp on the outside and so fluffy inside, and it smells like a dream. Mmmm! But their bacon & eggs are not to be missed too. OJ, coffee, presentation, everything... More
