Was unable to book a table for the weekend we were staying in Niseko, but we decided to walk in on a Saturday night around 6pm and were able to get a table until the people who reserved would arrive. We came for a snack but in the end we ordered the clam chowder, fresh oysters, and scallops along with... More

The second time to be in this restaurant in my second trip to Niseko. The food here is amazing, the most fresh and delicious seafood I have ever had. The fresh smell of oyster is so good that you cannot control yourself...No wonder it is ranked as THE most delicious seafood in Niseko. Remember to book in advance. We booked... More

It's expensive but the seafood is really fantastic. I particually enjoyed the scallops and braised rock fish. Will definately go again on our next trip to hirafu.

We came here twice in a week. The seafood was exquisite, we especially enjoyed the crab (expensive) and stonefish sashimi (affordable). Highly recommended for the food. The place is very small, reservations are a must. The ambience is a bit basic, so despite the quality of the food, this is not fine dining for romantic or special occasions.

Ezo is also or primarily a trader in seafood. As such you get a nice variety of fresh seasonal special seafood here. I heard the best sashimi here especially the uni. And this is saying alot in Hirafu where every other shop claims to serve sushi and sashimi. Another specialty here, is the fried flounder and rock fish. For those... More

Fresh seafood served up with a smile by Keko & James. Hokkaido seafood is delicious, matched with great service and big servings, this is a must for anyone visiting the area.

Our visit here was disappointing in so much as we all thought it was over priced for Niseko and was just Japanese style by an Aussie doing his best. The oysters were very good, but the Hokkaido Crab, (here and everywhere else in my opinion) is tasteless, watery and expensive. Give me a Qld sand crab or a muddie any... More

I have had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant over 20 times and every time we are more than pleased. James is a true seafood legend in this small town. Like a limited few other restaurants in the surrounding area, James cares so much about his product and his guests. His menu is straight forward and simple, as all... More

Thanks very much for your review - glad you enjoyed. While I often take the credit for the food, the chef (and owner) at Ezo Seafoods is actually a Japanese woman named Keiko - and her Japanese staff. Keiko grew up on a Japanese rice farm, and cooking for large family and extended family groups was part of her way... More

This is the best place to dine in Niesko without a doubt. All the seafood is on display for you to choose while James opens the oysters for starters. The quality of the seafood is consistently outstanding, besides the oysters we love the bluefin tuna, the crab of which there can be up to three types, king, snow and hairy.... More
