Kutazama’s owner, Gary, arrived to pick us up at Mombasa airport. This was followed by an ‘interesting’ drive through Mombasa in a torrential thunderstorm. The deluge had stopped long before we reached Kutazama where we were warmly welcomed by Gary’s staff and introduced to Jay and James. The next two days were real luxury. Kutazama is brilliantly designed to maximise the benefits of its position at the top of the escarpment overlooking the Shimba Hills NP.
