  "Not sure if those negative reviewers went where I went.. We stayed the first week in June. I mean where should I start. They great you with a cocktail - pineapple juice or rum punch. The wait for rooms took about 30 mins. Food was good, servers/bartender never begged for tip. They always had a smil..."e on, Mimosas, mimosas, mimosas... this is the place to indulge!!! Cleaning lady was very nice. The pool was big. I loved it all from the Jerk Chicken Rice & Peas, Curry Goat, etc. Maybe we were lucky, our A/C had us freezing! What I especially enjoyed about this place is that they kept the Jamaican feel. I am of Jamaican decent and to know they did not "Westernize" lol the resort made me feel more at home.   "Having just returned from a 14 night holiday at the Grand Palladium Resort & Spa booked with Thomson Holidays I will give what is the opinions of my wife and I on this resort and whilst the positives outweigh the negatives please be warned this resort is Very Noisey and not the place for a Calm Rel..."axing Holiday. The complex itself is split into two connecting resorts which are a mirror image of one another. Firstly the Rooms, they are large, very clean and comfortable and well maintained, infact the whole resort Likewise. The Restaraunts both Buffet and A La Carte the food is plentiful and very good and the staff with one exeption were friendly and attentive but I am afraid that is where it ends, throughout the 14 nights the noise in the A La Carte restaraunts was unacceptable this was in the main as a result of large groups of Young and not so young Americans who were continualy shouting amongst themselves I repeat Shouting not just talking they have no idea on the concept of a q...   "We were there with a group of parents and high school graduates. Great location. There were numerous places to get away from the party crowd if desired, and great places to party when you wanted to. The food was above average. The staff was great. I do recommend taking a lot of 1 dollar bills for ..."tips. We went through 200 in 6 days. Tipping will improve your stay. Our rooms were nice with 2 patios (1st floor). The only negative was the need for air conditioning in some of the restaurants. Be sure to take an insulated plastic tumbler for drinks (forewarned by a friend). The drink cups provided are small.
