At Casa Josef the cicadas chirp for just an hour after sundown, the cockerels are far enough away to amuse but not annoy and there are no barking dogs close by. The location is perfect and you can be sure of enjoying a peaceful time here. Guia is just a mile away and there are numerous restaurants, bars, and other amenities. The Algarve shopping Centre is just 2 mins up the highway with excellent shopping from food to fashion.   "What a wonderful, welcoming home. Everything you need for the perfect holiday. Pictures don't do the house justice. It is so relaxing. Bright and airy kitchen which is fully equipped for catering, lovely cosy dining room for formal meals, wonderful log fire for chilly evenings. The outside space is ..."fab, pool is small, but perfect, and patios are spacious, and very well furnished. Only downside was that the bar-b-que is too far away from the kitchen and dining area, and the cupboards in the kitchen are all at ground level, which isn't great if you have a crocked back like me. Ask around to get the short cut into town, which is only a few minutes walk, and the local bar at the top of the road is great fun in the evenings. All round a lovely village with really friendly people who are so helpful. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough, and I will def be back. Funny enough, the guest book in the villa is full of returned visitors, that's testament enough for me. " More >
