  "We stayed here for two nights over a bank holiday weekend while visiting nearby Oulton Park for BSB Racing. The pub is a straight forward village inn, with a pool table, two TV screens a restaurant area and outside seating. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, with directions and other tip..."s. Our room above the pub was excellent, clean and smart with a huge bed and modern en-suite shower room. There is a bit of a damp smell on the stairs but this does not spread up to the bedrooms which were fine. We ate at the Horseshoe both nights and enjoyed the very reasonably price pub food. The carrot & coriander soup was especially good. Also the real ales were well kept. The breakfasts are cooked to order and really set us up for the day.
