  "Hotel Bellavista is a 3* hotel close to Lago Magiore. It is located on the left side of the lake in a small vilage called Vira. It is on the oposite side of Locarno. With a car is quite fast to get from Ascona or Locarno to the hotel. I would say that this is the only inconvenient, specily for those..." who want to stay later in Locarno or Ascona. I guess that all the rooms have a view towards the lake, which in the morning is spectacular (we had room #73). The room was very clean and nice. The personnek was helpful. In the evening it is beautiful to sit by the pool and enjoy the view and drink a glass of wine. We only stayed one night so we coul try onky the breakfast - the bread was great and also a lot of options to chose from. It is a nice hotel and most probably we will come back. " More >

  "We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed it a lot. The hotel has an interesting layout built on different levels and even has its own boat launch and lake garden area, all fully accessible for hotel guests. Car parking is off road and under shelter in designated hotel spaces right next to the hot..."el (although still open to the road). The double room we had looked over the lake and was a decent size to accommodate our luggage, although there is no elevator so it meant an amount of climbing up steps. If anything its a good work out! The hotel is very clean and the staff are very helpful and polite. Breakfast has a decent choice of continental buffet food and although the hotel does not have its own restaurant there are a few within easy walking distance in to the village of Vira. They don't have credit card facilities but still its an easy 4/5 score from me. " More >

  "It is not really a hotel but more an apartment complex with reception and lunch facilities. The one-bedroom apartment was nice and spacious with a large balcony and an equipped kitchen. The view on the Lago Maggiore was gorgeous. The area of the complex is spacious and there is a small swimming pool...".
