  "In between my request for a corporate room on Friday and confirming that booking on Monday, the requested rooms had sold out. I received a call from the manager almost immediately upon sending the email and he offered me an upgrade at the corporate room price to a spa room. Of course I was delighted..." and when I arrived was shown what must of been one of the best rooms in the place - huge and with a spa pool in the corner. The bed was super comfortable, the room was quite and warm. Everything worked and was clean as a whistle. Huge shower with great pressure. Location wise this is an ideal location. I have stayed in Whakatane before and the motel "strip" is a long way out of town, located on what sounds like a motorway if the room is not double glazed. Tuscany Villas is literally just around the corner from all the amenities (the locals at the puba re very friendly) and across one road to the beach.
