  "This is an amazing part of the world for sure, but it is a bit challenging to get to. We were finishing a 2 week trip and my husband really wanted to come, I did not, just for one night plus I was desperately ill, fever, chills, aches. We drove 1 1/2 hours to the ferry, waited for the ferry, then ..."took an over 1 hour ferry ride. Unfortunately, when we arrived there were 50 mph winds, rain and cold awaiting us and we had less than 24 hours on the island. The resort itself is beautiful and the people are absolutely wonderful. We ended up with cancelled flights getting from Catania to Venice to catch our connection back to the US. Massimo in reception was an absolute godsend in helping us find and book flights which would allow to make our connection. He spent over 2 1/2 hours on the phone and the computer. Back to the resort.
