Excellent hosts, friendly, warm, helpful and very welcoming...we were in the Paris-Roubaix apt which was very spacious, clean, and comfortable and gorgeous ....they gave us great r..."ecommendations for dinner and Andrea made reservations for us both nights at two excellent restaurants..Il Marzocco (gorgeous view from Larciano) and Il Vino Veritas (ristorante pizzeria in town) .....highly recommend both places for dinner...we rented fabulous Canyon bikes, which Andrea fitted for us perfectly...in fact, he took us out on a fabulous 50km ride around the area, showing us his home town and the rolling hills around the area ...we were thrilled to be riding with him ...such a treat! we loved the apt, the grounds are beautiful, gorgeous pool area, and the surrounding olive trees make a stunning backdrop to the beautiful residence of 6 apartments. The owner was a fantastic friendly woman and was a great help in offering advice as to where to go The real joy for us in staying here was the excellent home co..."oked meals which we had with the other guests each evening and it was so nice to sit and relax and sample the local dish's and wonderful wines . The views over the hillside are a delight . The area itself is very quiet with very few tourists and tour buses and was a great contrast to the crowded streets of Florence etc. The Bedrooms and bathrooms were all a great size although the water could have been a small bit hotter but not an issue really. The little village itself is very nice and there is an amazing Ice cream parlor there with the best ice cream I have tasted in my life. " More >
