  "I was a little surprised to read the latest comments on this hotel. We also live in the South of France and have visited this hotel 3 times these past few years. I absolutely love this magical place, which has been restored in a way that respects its past history. Service and dinner at the "Chapit..."re restaurant were very good and we enjoyed drinks in the bar before our meal Parking is charged at 10€ within the grounds but there is free parking available in front of the hotel.   "One of my best hotels ever"
  "My wife and I just spent a night at the Couvent Royal. It was a great experience. We had a room looking over the cloister. Smallish, but the rooms are converted monks' cells! This is inside a monastery. The cloister is outside the bar and restaurant. Superbly restored. The inside bar and restaurant ..."are in the chapter house with original early Gothic vaults. This is not yet high season, so we were offered on arrival a good discount on a "tradition" room. Already very reasonable. We had an excellent dinner: the "menu" is not expensive and first quality. Friendly, competent staff. We had a problem in the bathroom and on checking out we were given another discount so in the end we paid half price. I would make a detour to go back to the Couvent Royal.
