  "We stayed in this beautiful property for two nights in a double room. It was simply outstanding. A stunning kingsize bed unlike the two single bed combination you find in many spanish hotels. The mattress was memory foam and the sheets were of a very high thread count and clean and bright white. ..."The room had a 50 inch wall mounted tv yet was period in all its theme. High quality period furnishings, a stunning marble bathroom with huge bath and shower and dressing gowns in the wardrobe. The room was unique and classy and unlike the boring bland hotel rooms we are all used to. Mini bar was a bit too pricy it must be said but was stocked with beers, wines, water, snacks and spirits. The room was very spacious with air conditioning and central heating. There was an abundance of reading material and local knowledge available in the room.   "We loved the hotel for its historical features, the superb room with a comfortable bed they upgraded us to and of course the location close to shops, bars and the Roman wall and the great cathedral. Parking is right opposite, turn right when on the city road close to the hotel."

  "We stayed here one night on our Camino. It's a distance away from Sarria, but we had no problem with that as we preferred a peaceful place to stay. It's a family-owned establishment, and everything, including the cooking, is done by the owners, a nice couple with 2 beautiful little children. ..." Our room on the ground floor was reasonably large and quiet and comfortable. The home cooked meals were simple but amazingly good. The desserts were especially phenomenal, all home made. My only complaint, and a very small one, is that they seemed a little stingy with toiletries and heating. A few of us in our group had to request that they turn on the heating as it was extremely cold, and toiletries were not replaced even though we stayed 2 nights, but they were promptly replaced upon request. Overall, very charming place and I wouldn't mind returning to spend a few more quiet days and enjoy the simple home cooked meals. " More >
