Now the negatives: 1) Breakfast - if you like scrambled eggs and bacon as your hot choice for 5 consecutive days, alright, but it was a tad boring. A reasonable choice of cold cuts. 2) Dinner - a pretentious fiasco of supposedly nouveau cuisine portions with minimal choice. Given this knowledge, we would have eaten out in Pula, but alas we were forced to eat in every night. It goes like this - firstly a group of three "amuses bouches" (no choice), secondly, a platter of two, generally cold starters (no choice), thirdly, your main course, generally a choice of two things, usually meat or fish, well cooked and nicely presented, ...   "Surprisingly great surroundings, menu was varied and very good with a few selections during each course. For a location quite hard to beach i mean this hotel is right on the beach with nothing else nearby, kids could run around in safety."

It is such a shame because the Chef is very talented and the evening meals are superb with 5 dishes (tasters) before you choose your main course, then a sweet. Lunch was very limited and expensive, although the standard of food is good. 22 euros for a pork chop we felt was a little excessive, as you would need to add on fries or salad just for lunch, but where the hotel is situated you really are a captive audience. The staff are helpful and polite and extremely friendly but professional at all times. The room was spacious (we did upgrade to Hibiscus) and the standard of cleaning was high.
