  "Unit 3104 is the best!"
  "We came for our honeymoon and were wowed by the condo. Marble counter tops, rainfall shower, elegant island decor, a kitchen stocked with all appliances and gadgets, even snorkels, coolers, sunscreen, bug spray and binoculars for watching the dolphins and outrigger races. I would wager that 3104 is ..."better than all the hotels on the strip in Kailua-Kona. The grounds are lush and immaculately maintained. They must have 20 gardeners, maintenance people and security guards on staff to keep it so lovely. The owners of the unit left a binder full of information that really helped us orient ourselves to the island, including nearby public beaches and restaurants. And truthfully the guidebook and maps they left on the coffee table made the trip. Much better than the Fodor's we brought with us. Once we opened the fridge and saw a complimentary six pack of local beer waiting for us after 18 hours of traveling we became lifelong fans.   "Three- Star Accomodations on a Five-Star Location!"
  "Our stayed was in May 2013. Since the Sheraton name has taken over you can "slowly" see the up-keep of the resort and I due mean slowly. Even though it says on the websiste, all rooms have been "remodeled", the bathrooms remain the last piece yet to be upgraded. I hope the Sheraton can fully rest..."ored this resort to its glory years! That said, the common areas are in excellent shape and it seems that's where it spent most of the money. The lobby area is fantastic, bright, airy and colorful. The staff is wonderful and attentive and the pool area with its waterslide is a nice touch to an otherwise seasoned resort. The $30 daily resort fee is definitely something not to overlook but I can say the wifi has improved from previous reviews. So it does mean mgmt has been reading these reviews and are not taking it lightly. " More >

Four Seasons Maui was also nice but Hualalai was so much better in terms of setting and overall look and feel. Hualalai makes you feel like you are in paradise. Although Big Island wasn't my m..."ost favorite out of the Hawaiian Islands, I would go back to Big Island just to stay at this hotel. I loved it so much that I am seriously considering having a destination wedding there next year. Service was also great -- everyone was so friendly. We were also lucky enough to have our ocean view room upgraded to prime ocean view suite. The balcony was so huge that there were days I sunned myself there instead of the beach (and the views from balcony were great). The only bad thing is, I was spoiled at Four Seasons Hualalai and now the bar is set high and all hotels I stay at out will be compared to this. I can't wait to come back! " More >
