  "just come back from one week mother and daughter chill out. Hotel recently refurbished and rooms are nice and good 4*. Bathrooms modern and pleasant. Good balconies too. the only real down side is the food which is not up to scratch compared to the rest of the hotel. We had half board which is de..."cent value as eating out is limited and relatively expensive. Most meat was overcooked and fish was a better option most of the time. All was underseasoned. It all looked OK but didn't really taste very good. Gardens are nice as is the pool although it is small so in the main season with kids it might get too busy. Sea was clean and clear and off a shingle beach. Only indoor facility is the bar with dubious entertainment. Remember everything you might need like anti mossie stuff, moisurising cream, razors etc as you cannot buy anything of use locally and would need to take the one hour ferry to Dubrovnic.   "Stayed here for four nights at the end of May beginning of June 2013. Absolutely brilliant location overlooking the Adriatic with nothing to hear but the sound of the sea. Lopud is carless but if you advise the hotel of arrival time they will collect you by buggy. View from room was over the sea to ..."the islands and the mainland and also tothe ton so it certainly was panoramic - brilliant for sundowners on the balcony. Were on the island to attend a wedding at another hotel so never got to eat in our hotel a night but breakfast in the restaurant and lunch by the waters edge were lovely. Prosecco freely available in the mornings which is a bonus in a 4* hotel - nice touch! It would have been nice if the hotel had made their buggy more available as walking back to the hotel after dark was a bit of an obstacle course as there were no lights.
