  "We stayed at Silks Taroko last year, and then decided to return, this time, to Yilan. At low season, the place was a steal, with very decent japanese style rooms, a lobby worth wandering in with lots of books to get lost in whilst burying yourself in bean bags conveniently located along the corrid..."or. The rooms have nothing to fault. The spas were a bit busy and seemingly congested, but gave a 180 degree view of Yilan. The upside of this hotel, in its solitary location, is it's excellent food. This is the second time I have been impressed by food in Taiwan. In a lot places, where eating outside of the hotel is not an option, food can be terrible. But both at Silks Taroko and here, the food variety and quality should be lauded. The complimentary snacks in the room were so delicious, we brought back lots as souvenirs. The only down-side, which often pervades Asian hotels is the excessive air-conditioning in ALL public areas, which may be preferable to some people, but honestly... " More >
