All the water activities have a lift to help handicapped guests into the water, and if there are steps there is ramp. the whole resort is assessable. The most impressive thing about the resort, and why the locals like it so much, is that Disney has kept the Hawaiian Culture alive here. From the architecture to the furnishings you always know you are in Hawaii. I am not a big fan of resorts because its too easy to never leave.   "This resort is an incredible place to relax and not be surrounded by the chaos of Honolulu and Waikiki. The three towers all have their own BBQ areas and there is plenty of options for relaxing. Multiple pools and steps from the ocean with their own lagoon will give you days of peace and quiet. Food..." on the resort was not great, but we had a kitchen and shopped at Costco and Safeway, which were only 10 minutes away by car. We went to the Tuesday Luau, Fia Fia, and it was pretty awesome. Well worth the price of the show! The two bedroom owners suite we had was very spacious for any family of 6. The downside to our trip was that we were put on the 3rd floor of the Naia Tower (the newest and closest to the ocean), and when we opened our curtains we stared directly into the parkade. Why a high end resort would have rooms that look at a parkade is beyond me! After 2 days we were moved to the 8th floor of another tower and we were then able to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view and eat out... " More >

This location has everything you could want: you can go snorkeling in the lagoons, take a cruise from the harbor, play golf if you want, there is a village also right outside the gate where you can purchase food to cook if you prefer. The staff were all attentive and nice, the food at the restaurants was expensive- this is par for the course at almost any hotel I have ever stayed at, you can always go elsewhere off site if you prefer.
