There is a great deal of available outdoor recreation on this..." mountaintop property, hiking trails, nature viewing, a beautiful lake on the property with boat rentals and plenty of indoor activity rooms in the lodge. Mountain biking trails are plentiful. Wildlife is protected on the property and there were lots of deer near the lodge as well as birds such as Sage Grouse. Only 4 stars because: -We didn't get the type of room we reserved and had to waste time getting another room assignment. -Beds must have been there 15-25 years ago, they are too soft and provide little support. -The fancy "gourmet" dining room wasn't open on week nights . -Only the casual bar menu restaurant was serving lunch and dinner, meals were adequate but we got tired of the l...   "We are still talking about our marvelous experience at the Chewuch Inn - 3 days/nights in one of their rustic, upscale, roomy, self contained cabins. When we opened the cabin door we immediately felt at home and knew that the owners cared about the comfort and experience of their guests. This was ..."only amplified by the outgoing nature and helpfulness of owners Dan and Sally and their staff. Each morning we eagerly walked a short distance to the roomy, rustic dining hall to savor their breakfasts including quiche "to die for", just out of the oven scones, granola - all home made, fruit and much more.   "The Chewuch Inn was the perfect place to spend three days . It offered well- decorated and very clean rooms. Breakfast was wonderful and offered choices for all diets. Each of the three days started with a different warm breakfast entre, along with delicious baked good, as well as fruit and other..." delectable goodies. The owners and staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area, and offered us good advice on hiking trails and bike routes. The lounge was very relaxing and comfortable. Warm days were comfortably spent in the lounge chairs on the inn's shaded lawn. The Chewuch Inn is well located, and one can easily walk or bike to town. Above all. the owners take pride in their inn, and that added greatly to the overall experience. " More >
