  "While on a week-long tour of Oregon and Washington, we stayed 4 nights at the Rutherglen Mansion in Longview, WA. Longview is north of Portland, Oregon, about an hour or a little more. It's not far from Mt. St. Helen's either. There were four of us in total, and we had 2 rooms reserved. The Mans..."ion was pretty easy to find with GPS, and the last road you go on is narrow (but recently paved) and takes you quickly up a steep hill and into the woods. You immediately feel like you've left any kind of hustle and enter the coolness of the tree canopies and calmness of the forest sounds. There is a large round parking lot at the Mansion for guests. The Mansion also serves dinner some nights, so the lot looks rather large when empty. But as we observed on a Wednesday wine-tasting event, it can easily fill to capacity!
