Cala Bona is quite charming with level walking and loads of place to eat and drink. Try the Due restaurant, on the promenade towards Calla Millor, it does great coffee and crepes at a very reasonable price.   "Me and my dad went to this hotel for a week in October 2012, although the weather was very cloudy most of the trip, we had a great time. Us and 3 other families were the only families in the hotel at the time so we all got on! If you are going to travel to this hotel out of season like we did, pleas..."e bare in mind, it is very quiet and also, the pool isn't heated and because there wasn't any sun, the pool was absolutely freezing! The nightly entertainment was okay, but I have to stress again that if you are going out of season, there is not a lot going on, and we walked down to the next town, Cala Millor, to see what the nightlife there was like. Cala Bona was very quiet when we went, a lot of couples. I would say, if you are thinking of going to this hotel, it is more suited for couples, and A LOT more couples go rather than families, because we met other families, we were lucky!   "We returned last Tuesday after a week at the sur hotel. We were return visitors with a lengthy gap between stays but were greeted like old friends. This friendly service was continued by all staff throughout our stay. The hotel is basic but clean. Rooms are dated but functional. They had a fridge wh..."ich was a bonus. No tv which was fine by us. I don't holiday to watch tv. We had a sea view free of charge as this was above the bar and was noisy until midnight. The sun was on the room in the morning so for those traveling high season these are cooler at night as the hotel has no air conditioning. The food was good and freshly made. No mass production. Not a huge selection but enough choices for us. Sometimes less is more. We will be returning next year. No frills but a holiday to remember for all the right reasons. " More >
